The club

SC Preußen Münster, founded in 1906, is one of the most traditional soccer clubs in Germany. In the 1960s, the club was a founding member of the Bundesliga and reached the final of the German championship in 1951.

The Preußenstadion on Hammer Straße has been the club's home for decades. With a loyal following, SC Preußen Münster has a strong regional significance. After regaining promotion to the 3rd division in 2023, the club is aiming for higher divisions in the long term. Youth work and talent development in particular play a central role in the club's concept.

Unforgettable experiences as a VIP at the Preußenstadion

The Preußenstadion, built on Hammer Straße in the mid-1920s, has an eventful history behind it. Once built by club members, almost destroyed and rebuilt during the Second World War, it saw its first Bundesliga matches. Today there is a need for renovation, but the foundation stone has been laid: A renovation of the 15,000-seater stadium is planned in the Münster city budget. 3,000 seats are located in the main stand, which was newly built in 2009, with the remainder distributed across standing areas, some of which are covered. A pitch heating system was installed for the first time in 2012.
